Claire Blackwelder

Born in Boise and raised outside DC, Claire has been consistently working bicoastally since earning her undergraduate BA in Theatre from USC. Upon graduating, her first foray into the film and television world was a two season run on the iconic Power Rangers: Dino Charge franchise for Netflix & Nickelodeon. From there, she was cast in a leading role in the feature film Stalked by my Doctor: The Return opposite Eric Roberts, followed by Hillhead which was released in 2022.

Claire received her MFA from the Shakespeare Theatre Company’s Academy for Classical Acting at GWU and considers her true passion in life to be the theater. Some of her previous credits include: Holiday (Arena Stage), The Merchant of Venice (Shakespeare Theatre Co. starring John Douglas Thompson), Disposable Necessities (Rogue Machine - world premiere), IT (Rockwell Table & Stage - Ovation Award winner), Larissa FastHorse’s The Thanksgiving Play (Boise Contemporary Theater), and most recently the staged reading of Don’t I Know You From Somewhere at New York Live Arts, a new play seeking full production for 2025.

She has been playing classical piano for over 20 years, is SAFD certified with recommendation in unarmed combat and broadsword, writes poetry and original music, hikes extremely tall mountains, and belts Heart on a regular basis.
